WhatsApp will respond to iMessage-style messages for iOS and Android
The instant-messaging app Whatsapp plans to bring iMessage-style message responses to Android and iOS.
According to the report, the company has been working on this feature for some time and it is now entering the final stages.
This message reaction feature will help users to reply to messages easily without any text-based reply.

WhatsApp is working on the response to the message - or "tapback", which was released last summer. Users will reply as quickly as thumbs-up or thumbs-down in iMessage.
Previous reports have indicated that message responses are coming to WhatsApp, and before that, the feature did not arrive properly, but recent images from WABetaInfo give a better idea of how the feature will work.
Like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp will display a row of emojis on top of the message. However, it is not clear whether it will appear after a long press or tap on a new button.
According to photos shared by WaBetaInfo, there are currently six emojis available: Thumbs Up, Heart, Tears of Joy, Open Mouth, Crying Mouth and Folding Hand. Once you select a response, it will appear in the small profile below the message.
Facebook Messenger has a plus button to access a full emoji picker, but Whatsapp doesn't have it. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
The message response feature will be available for both iOS and Android. Perhaps, in the upcoming beta update, it may be added before it rolls out publicly. It is said that the response feature will be encrypted end-to-end just like messages.
